Paper Submissions:

Extended abstracts must be uploaded in PDF format. If you are using Microsoft Word, you may download a pre-formatted MS Word file into which you can copy and paste your abstract text before converting it to PDF format. The file includes styles defined for title, authors, and institutions. Please preview the following samples before you submit your abstract. To download, right-click on the appropriate link below and choose "Save target as" or "Save link as" (or similar text, depending upon your browser type).

To maintain a uniform abstract cd, please submit your extended abstract conforming to the abstract template, which is based on the following guidelines:

  1. Written in English on one page in electronic format.
  2. The abstract must fit within two 3.25-inch (8.25-cm) by 8.875-inch (2.25-cm) columns.
  3. Use single-spaced, 10 pt type (Suggested font: Times New Roman).
  4. Center the title, written in 14 pt, boldface type.
  5. Center the list of authors and affiliations, both written in 10 pt font; author affiliations should be italicized.
  6. Authors and their affiliations should be kept together (see sample abstract file)
  7. Allow one blank line of space below the title and the author(s) and affiliation(s)
  8. Allow one blank line before the abstract text.

You will need to convert your document to PDF. Check the final version (including content, special characters, fonts etc.) to ensure that everything is correct before accepting the final submission. There are many ways to convert your file into a pdf. Many offices departments have the Adobe Acrobat software available for use. If this is not available to you, there are some free online utilities that you can find and use. A free online MS Word Doc to PDF converter is available here.
